Double Decker

Double Decker

A trick-taking card game for 4–7 players. Collect cards of one color — your biggest pile scores positive points, the others score negative.

Cards

Three colors: Red, Blue, Green. Values 1–20 (4–6 players) or 0–20 (7 players). Each player receives an equal hand.

Double Tricks

The lead player plays any card. Other players may play a card in the same color or introduce a second color. Once two colors are in the trick, no third color may enter. Each color is resolved separately — the highest card in each color wins all cards of that color. A double trick can have two different winners.

Passing

Once two colors are in the trick, a player may pass instead of playing. To pass, show a card of the third color (the color not in the trick) and place it face-down in front of you. Passed cards score −2 points each at round end.

Scoring

After all tricks, each player counts their captured cards by color. Your largest pile scores +1 per card; your other piles score −1 per card. Passed cards score −2 each. If your two largest piles are tied, you choose which color is positive.

Game

Five rounds. After each round, the player with the lowest cumulative score leads the next round (and deals). The player with the highest total after five rounds wins.
